Short Getaway @ Singapore Day 1

Last weekend, my close friend, YChen and I had a short break at Singapore. I only planned to have the trip around 2 weeks before it. Tried to get someone to accompany me and at the end, only she was free. :p The last time I been there was 6 years back, with the same person. Haha. I always wanted to go there ever since Universal Studio (USS) was opened but just couldn't find a chance. So we got our air tickets, room booking and USS tickets ready in few days. We met up with another friend, Yi-Pei, who is working in Singapore for the weekend. :D

After planned everything, only to realize that it was school holiday for both Malaysia and Singapore. LCCT was crowded (It always does anyway.), Singapore was crowded and USS was super crowded! >.< We stayed at a dorm hostel located in Chinatown, very very near to the MRT exit. I think less than 15 steps away, which is really a good location. Other than its location, it was really a bad idea staying there.

The hotel was full house and I think that they do not have enough staff to cater for it. Places were dirty especially the toilets. No shower gel and shampoo when they should be provided. Shaky bunk beds. It was like earthquakes when the person at the upper bunk moved. Moreover, there was this constant water dripping on the roof sound that we could hear all night, disturbing our sleeps as I am a truly light sleeper. Jeez...

Anyway, as soon as we met up with Yi-Pei, we headed towards Harbourfront via MRT to proceed to Sentosa with monorail. $3.00 for a return trip and it was seriously packed! But excited! :D

Human everywhere in USS, but the queues to take photos with the cartoon characters were not too bad. People there are efficient. Thumbs up! And we did not need to worry no one to take photos for us because we could always threw our camera to their crew and they were ready to snap photos for the crowd. XD

The USS contains a few sections, New York City, Ancient Egypt, Sci-fi City, The Lost World, Madagascar and the two which we stayed the longest, Hollywood and Far Far Away.  I like the street and building structure in Hollywood.

I like the fairy tale feel in Far Far Away.

And I love Puss in Boots! XD

There are numerous of rides available in the USS, with the longest waiting time of 120 minutes for the Transformers Ride. o.O We skipped that at the beginning.

The first ride we took was the Human vs Cylon. The most obvious roller coaster ride there. Being a chicken, of course I chose the Human ride, felt safer~ :p

It was not a good idea going for that ride as the first. Due to lack of sleeps the night before (Our flight was at 6am wtf) and I screamed too loud and long (Sorry, I was excited. It have been quite some time since my last roller coaster ride), my gastric reflux. T.T I felt nausea but luckily Yi-Pei the Dietitian brought along some Histacs, so I got better after taking it.

After that I skipped most of the rides, even the Carousel. >.< Sorry girls, I scared I couldn't stand till the night if I go for another ride. Luckily, Yi-Pei didn't miss the Transformers Ride while YChen and me waited and rested. :D

We went for some of the stage shows. The best being the Water World where the first row of audience was soaked. It was an action performance depicted from the movie with the same name I supposed. The actors were seen climbing around and jumping into the water. It is not a suitable show for kids as it contains too much of explosions and noise. I would be scared if I were a kid. :p

Apart from stage shows, there were some street shows here and there while we were walking around. We got to see Sesame Street show, where few of the characters came out to do some dances and had the audience followed. Elmo was cute~ :D

Souvenirs shops were everywhere, but we (Only me actually) were more amused at the souvenirs shop at Far Far Away. I felt like buying whatever I saw. Hohoho. I am so obsessed with Puss in Boots! XD

There was a parade went on that day, probably on every weekend. It starts at 6:30pm and paraded through almost all sections. We got the front place but the Indian guy before us was annoying. His arms were out of the barricade all the time and he is tall. Most of my photos captured his arms.. Grrrrrr! >.<

The parade was not good. Too simple, nothing much. Nothing compared to those in Disneyland. I expect something more grand!

After the parade, we found our way to an Italian restaurant in USS. It was good and affordable la along the Hollywood street. We had some combos, and we need to pay $15 per person. Considered cheap in USS right? Moreover, the portion is quite big. XD

After om nom nom and some chit chats, it was almost 9pm, which was the time for fireworks! I have waited for it for the whole day~ We got a very strategic place for it as well. The fireworks were so near and I almost went blind looking at them. It was great. Yi-Pei and I were shouting and cheering (at the fireworks? o.O) We were very satisfied with the day. We then headed to the crowded monorail to get our way back to the lousy hostel for a rest.

P/S: I did not take any photos of the fireworks as I have a lousy camera and I was too excited looking at them that it did not even cross my mind to try taking photos. :p

Have You Seen Ice?

Heyo! I just came back from a short trip to Singapore. At last managed to get a short break after so long. My last trip was more than a year ago. No wonder I felt so depressed. =.=" Anyway, will blog about the trip soon as I am still compiling the photos~ XD

Anyway, during the trip, my Starbucks tumbler which accompanied me for 6 years leaked. My sling bag was wet most of the time, as well as a part of my khakis pants. >.<" Super annoying. I kept keeping the bottle stand up straight in my sling bag.

Then I realized my three girl friends whom I went to and met up with in Singapore are all using the same brand of water bottles.. o.O Coincident? Or that brand is just too good? One of them told me that brand previously released a collection of water tumblers with the collaboration with some young artists. She got two of them. Looks interesting, sorry I never knew about it la. XD

So I went to Jusco looking for it. Found one of the collection, which was drawn by Yisin. Probably it's already kinda outdated now but I like it very much. It's so cute and meaningful at the same time, with the theme of "Have you Seen Ice?" :D

It features a polar bear that likes ice-skating. Oh so cute. Turned it around and it says that Polar Bear can now only swim with the quote of "A polar bear swan nine days in search of ice, due to climate change".. Wuwuwuwu... Shoooo sad~ T.T

I still saw a lot of these at Jusco. You can drop by to grab it if you like it. :D

A Day in Cyberjaya

If you know me, you would have known that I was working in TPM. If you don't, yeah~ That was where our office located. However, last month we have moved our office to Cyberjaya. That's almost 40km away from my house. FML. I have been feeling not happy all the while after we were told about it. Luckily, the company allows us to work from home half of the time. XD

Basically, I go to office around 2 days a week. (That's enough for me to doze off when I'm driving~ :p) It is a longgggggg highway to work and my little cute car cannot go so fast pun. T.T Fortunately, there is no jam *touchwood* so I normally can reach in about 30 minutes (That's fast! :D) Our office is very small ler, but organized quite well.

So that's the whole office. FOL. Saw that opened window? There is where I am sitting at. I opened that window because the office smells like burnt wires. o.O Anyway, it's a great view from that window. Greenish scene and I can see birds standing on the branch scratching their body. lol~ With that window opened, I can listen to the natural bird chirping sound all the time.. Ahh, peaceful office (If my colleagues work from home la.. lalala~). Bad thing is that there are some constructions going on at the main road, so I saw those ugly cradles around. >.<

There comes the most anticipated time of the day = lunch time. In Cyberjaya, I don't anticipate lor.. Dengkil, Equine and Puchong are so far away. The food around here seriously, either suck or boring. Luckily I still have friends and my Sister who are working and studying in Cyberjaya, at least I still feel like going out. Else, I think I better tapao meehoon goreng from the Malay Auntie before departing for work. :p

That's the Chinese mixed rice that I can find here. Lunch is so hot. Places are all crowded regardless the food nice or not. Sien! Good thing, I can be back in the office within one hour. Means I can pretend to be more hardworking. Haha. Then as the bird chirping and I start feeling the effect of after lunch, there comes time to go home. That's fast? Yeah, my time lately past so fast. That's because I aged a lot I guess. By the way, time to go home means time to stuck in the traffic jam. Yes! I normally take one hour to reach home and I literally feel like puking in the car. =.="

That's all for my sad and bored life in Cyberjaya. Guess you guys must be half sleeping after reading until this point. Some might probably not even reach here. FML.

Miao!

I live in an apartment with a lot of stray cats around. The majority residents here are Malay, so the cats are having good life here. Few months back, I saw this pair of Cat Mama hanging around with her playful kitten at our corridor. XD So cute! The kitten was running around syok sendiri while the Mama was chilling.

They have been missing for a while before they appear again at the staircase beside our unit. :D They were chilling and sleeping there while enjoying the sunlight~ Since then, I have been feeding them everyday and play with them~ XD They are just too cute and the Mama liked it when I rub her belly and she'll start rubbing my legs~ :p

I like the kitten especially because she is just too adorable and playful~ She would go like "See, I'm so cute, play with me please~" Haha.. I have been feeding three of them, (There was one unknown Calico kitten came along too!) then the Mama disappeared. I thought probably she found a better place to cari makan. :( Then the two kittens always hang around at our unit's shoe rack area, waiting for me.

One day, I found out that the playful kitten was hanging around at Ground Floor and was bullied by another Fat Garfield gangster cat when she tried to go to upper floor.. T.T Nevermind, I've rescued her~ XD But she just like to go to the Ground floor until once she was missing forever. I have been waiting for her since then but she never appeared. So down. >.< Until this morning my Brother showed me this photo:

I went like OMFGWTFBBQ~ o.O I could not imagine that because I always thought she was a kitten.. :p But the kittens were so cute! So I walked around the apartment to find them. And I found..... She is now locked up at a fenced area by an Uncle. I think that Uncle wants to protect her and the kittens from other bad villain cats.. But, locking up cats are so bad. She is protected but she lost her freedom. She looks so bored in there. Although she was excited to see me but she just could not get out.

Should I just let her be? T.T

Edited: Just realized the cat in the photo that my Brother showed me is not the white Kitten. Pai seh~ :p
